Former pro wrestler Verne Gagne kills 97 year old man

… and he doesn’t even remember doing it.
82 year old former WWF (now WWE) legend Verne Gagne body slammed a 97 year old man during an argument, breaking some bones, which eventually killed him. Both patients suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, and neither remembered the reason for the dispute when questions afterward.
But all of that seemed well in the past until just weeks ago, when authorities say Gagne, 82 and suffering from A l zheimer ‘s disease, apparently body-slammed a 97-year-old fellow patient at the suburban nursing home where they both lived, causing the man’s death.
Helmut Gutmann, a former cancer researcher who suffered from dementia himself, died Feb. 14, about three weeks after breaking his hip in the confrontation. Authorities ruled his death a homicide.

Police are investigating, but even the widow of Mr. Gutmann don’t want charges pressed against the former champion.
