Danielle gets on the score board with Eartha Kitt’s death on Christmas day – she gets her Ghoulpool cherry popped AND scores a solo shot!! She is the game’s 48th scored death.
Not much to say, other than I found it very ironic that she died on Santa’s day… The world is a wondrous place.

Harold Pinter has made the Ghoulpool lists every year since we started 9 years ago, and the persistence has paid off. The Nobel Prize winner died December 24th from cancer at the age of 78. Seven people were lucky enough to have his name, but it did not shake things up in the money list. That’s surprising to me.
The great English provocateur — playwright, actor, director, screenwriter, poet and human-rights activist — won the Nobel Prize for literature in 2005. Although he was too ill to accept the award in person, he appeared on video with a scathing denunciation of U.S. foreign policy and the Iraq War. Read more... 99 year old Arthur Glenn Andrews died way back in September – September 25th to be exact – and Brent discovered his score by doing a quick review of his list. When Mr. Andrews died, he was the oldest living former member of the US Congress. Now, he’s not.
There’s two lessons here for whoever wants to smarten up:
1) Review your list and see who might already be dead. Find one, and get your points!
2) 99 year olds die frequently.
Congrats to Brent for his score, and moving up in the rankings a few notches.

Bettie Page, the 1950s secretary-turned-model whose controversial photographs in skimpy attire or none at all helped set the stage for the 1960s sexual revolution, died Thursday. She was 85.
Page was placed on life support last week after suffering a heart attack in Los Angeles and never regained consciousness, said her agent, Mark Roesler. He said he and Page’s family agreed to remove life support. Before the heart attack, Page had been hospitalized for three weeks with pneumonia.

And a special Merry Christmas:
