Or however you might say that in Russian, was undoubtedly screamed earlier this month.
At least 30 of the hungry animals have been seen prowling close to the mines in northern Kamchatka in search of food, where the mangled remains of the two workers, both guards, were found last week.
The gruesome discovery has left their co-workers at the compound in the Olyotorsky district too scared to venture out. A team of snipers, with orders to shoot the bears, is now being dispatched,
Reminds me of this warning about Alaskan Grizzly bears:

… and takes the secret of Dorothy Zbornak’s sexuality with her to the grave. Of course, as Dorothy’s mother, she probably had no idea what Dorothy and Blanche Devereaux did out on the lanai after a few pina coladas. I bet Rose took Polaroids of everything. Someday, the secret will be known.

Six scores with Estelle’s passing, including the popping of Die For My Benefit’s cherry. Congrats to all.

In a news article posted yesterday, a Thailand man cut off his own head BY CHAINSAW after losing an eviction battle. He was the last remaining occupant in a section of housing marked for demolition. The fact that he decided sawing his own head off was the BEST answer to leaving his slum, the method and details beyond that are incredible
It is believed he plugged the electric saw into the mains and attached a timer to the socket. He then taped the saw trigger ‘on’, lay down with his neck on the blade and waited for the timer to kick in.

Imagine my surprise (and I have to admit, a tinge of delight) when I woke up this morning to see not one, but two deaths hit the Ghoulpool over my sleeping hours. 13 total scores with two popular celebrity selections. Oh, sure, it was a lot of work for me, but it’s a good kind of work. It’s the kind of work that ultimately brings smiles to people’s faces, and that’s what it’s all about. Read more... Another waiver wire success story – first place player GoFish puts some distance between him and the rest of the field by nabbing another death.
John Templeton, a pioneering mutual fund manager, global investor and philanthropist, died of pneumonia in a hospital in the Bahamas, a spokeswoman at his foundation said on Tuesday. He was 95.
Starting his career on Wall Street in 1937, Templeton went on to create several successful international funds, before selling the Templeton Funds in 1992 to Franklin Resources in 1992 for $440 million.
In 1954 Templeton set up the Templeton Growth Fund, one of the first mutual funds that invested globally. Read more... (147 words, estimated 35 secs reading time)

Jesse Helms, the five-term Republican Senator from North Carolina, has died, CBS News has confirmed. He was 86.
Helms died at 1:15 this morning, according to the Jesse Helms Center in Wingate, North Carolina.
Jimmy Broughton, Helms’ former chief of staff, says the former senator died of natural causes in Raleigh.
Helms built a career along the fault lines of racial politics and battled liberals, Communists and the occasional fellow Republican during his decades in Congress. He was slowed in later age by a variety of illnesses, including a bone disorder, prostate cancer and heart problems. Read more... (133 words, estimated 32 secs reading time)

Mel Galley – with the most perfect timing ever seen in this game – died on July 1st, mere hours after the deadline for picking him up via the waiver wire. Yours truly and Team Dirt both capitalized on this pickup with almost instant points. Galley was the guitarist for Whitesnake
during their most popular time, with playing credits on all their biggest hits.
Now, in a collage of song titles, I honor the big-haired, bad-boy posing heavy metal guitarist from one of the cheesiest bands of the 80′s (and yes, I had a couple of their CDS!!): Read more... (253 words, 6 images, estimated 1:01 mins reading time)

In a scene straight out of Beetlejuice’s
waiting room hell, a 49 year old lady died on the floor while no one paid any attention.
The other patients weren’t sure whether to continue ignoring her, or just be damned happy they moved up in the queue.
From the original story:
On June 18, Esmin Green, 49, was involuntarily admitted to the psychiatric emergency department of Kings County Hospital Center on June 18 for what the hospital describes as “agitation and psychosis.”
Upon her admission, Green waited nearly 24 hours for treatment, said the New York Civil Liberties Union, which on Tuesday released surveillance camera video of the incident.

Some big names moving up and down the Death Popularity list. A couple of big names fell — Britney Spears by one, human vegetable Emilio Navaira III refused to die after his bus accident, and the Rockin Robot Dick Clark was taken off a list. By far, salad racer Paul Newman was the most popular pick-up of the quarter, followed by cancerous guitarist Mel Galley. Notable by his absence is Ted Kennedy – the senator who is losing his brain. Kennedy was a close #2 on my list, and I amd shocked – SHOCKED, I SAY – that not a single player chose to add him. If I were a betting man, I’d bet he’s gone by the next waiver wire deadline.
