In yet another grisly injury at a Six Flags amusement park, a 17 year old unidentified boy was decapitated by the Batman roller coaster. This one happened at Six Flags Over Georgia.

The kid was, very ironically, chasing after his hat he lost while riding the ride. He scaled two six-foot fences and passed signs that said the restricted area was both off-limits and dangerous to visitors. Police said the ride was going full-speed when the teen was struck. The ride’s top speed is 50 mph, according to the Six Flags Web site. No one riding on the roller coaster was injured. A friend of the headless coaster also entered the restricted area but was not injured.

I have no words – this is a hard death to take. But it’s true. The man I look at as a pioneer in freedom of speech, a pioneer in saying what’s on your mind — has died. George Carlin, dies at age 71 from heart failure. To many, it’s a bye-line. To us that want to say whatever the fuck we want, it’s a crossing. This dude paved the dirt road that most of us live on.

Here’s the story.

A woman in Croatia – reported missing in 1966 – has recently been found. Dead. In her apartment she lived in at the time. In 2008.

You read that right – 42 years after she was reported missing, Hedviga Golik wqas found in the very same “flat” that she lived in. Apparently, Hedge (as I call her) had just fixed herself a nice hot cup of tea and sat down to watch the telly. When she was “found”, she was still sitting facing the (now turned off, I presume) TV, with the cup of tea by her side. Much cooler now than it was when she made it, I’m sure.

Street cleaner goes mad with his hatred against small yappy dogs!

Robert Machin said he had just finished walking his two Boston terriers and was about to put them into his car when the truck appeared Thursday morning. The retired transit worker said he was suddenly whipped around and saw one of the dogs, Ginger, being swallowed by the sweeper’s round bristles.

“I went berserk at that moment because I couldn’t believe what had occurred,” he said Saturday.

Machin said he yelled at the driver to stop, but the truck kept going. He and friends chased the truck for 2 ½ blocks before catching up with it. Ginger’s slight body was later pulled from the sweeper.

Scammer-investor Samuel Israel III possibly jumped off a bridge to avoid jail time and repaying his victims $300M. And he possibly didn’t. He left a message on his SUV that said “Suicide is Painless” – the song made popular when Hawkeye staged his own fake funeral on M*A*S*H. Trouble is, there’s no body floating in the river.

Israel, 48, a co-founder and chief executive of the now-collapsed Bayou hedge funds, was sentenced in April to 20 years in federal prison for conspiracy and fraud, to begin Monday afternoon. He was also ordered to pay $300 million to his victims.

Tyrone Jones, the colorful and outspoken linebacker who helped the Winnipeg Blue Bombers capture two Grey Cup titles during his eight-year tenure with the CFL club, has died. He was 46.

Jones died in his native Georgia on Tuesday morning. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in August 2005.

Congrats to Jeff, Scott A, and team Dirt for grabbing this guy.

Hell yes, I’m bitter. I “discovered” this guy last year for my list, and then everyone joined in. I had heard news in December that his condition was bad, but wasn’t considered life-threatening any more, or at least not in the immediate future. So I didn’t take him. This one stings. Dammit.

It was a gruesome scene out of Schenectady County as a man plunges 10,000 feet to his death.

There was significant roof damage on the home on Route 7, near Route 20. That’s where police found the body of 29-year-old Sloan Carafello after authorities say he jumped from a skydiving plane without a parachute.

Carefello was one of four passengers on board a plane operated by the Duanesburg skydiving club.

Police say after the three skydivers made their jumps, Carefello was seen leaving the plane.

An employee at the skydiving club says the 29-year-old had been asking to observe a skydiving flight for some time.

GoFish is on a roll!

Go Fish, with two scored deaths in two days, takes a commanding lead in our little game. GoFish, who I truly am not liking much these days for his Grim Reaperesque ability to hit deaths, has had his Top 3 die, plus these multiple scores. And all of his scores have been with people less than 81, meaning he is hitting the bonus points for younger folk.

Now on to the news at hand:

Bo Diddley died of heart failure Monday. He had suffered a heart attack in August 2007, three months after suffering a stroke while touring in Iowa.
