Just when you thought it was safe to enter the water…

… it turns out that no place is safe from a shark attack.

In a scene that reminds me of the Land Shark skits from Saturday Night Live.

Woman #1: [ moves to chain-locked door ] Who is it?

Land Shark: [ muffled voice ] Mrs. Ramilarghh??

Dick Martin, co-host of “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In” that popularized the phrase, “Sock it to me,” died yesterday of respiratory complications in Santa Monica, California. He was 86.

C’mon Dick, let’s go to the party!

Martin played off straight man Dan Rowan in “Laugh-In,” which revolutionized the television industry. Its stars garnered laughs with one-liners and double entendres from the psychedelic joke wall, and introduced phrases into the popular lexicon such as “Here comes da judge” and “You bet your sweet bippy.” The show also featured Goldie Hawn, Lily Tomlin, Ruth Buzzi and announcer Gary Owens.

Wino Pops Tamra’s Cherry!!

Robert G. Mondavi — the 94-year-old Napa Valley visionary who put California wine on dinner tables around the world — died peacefully at home early Friday morning.

In what is just another check mark in the laundry list of why Japan is the looniest country on Earth (see Rice Babies, cucumber flavored Pepsi, eye lash wigs, and love hotels (ed. note: OK.. Mrs. Dr. Death and me have actually shacked up in one of these while we were living in Japan)), the crazy Japanese folks are dying by the load by inhaling laundry detergent in an attempt to rid their life of grime.

It seems that the eight players that selected Patrick Swayze as their waiver wire pick may be getting rewarded sooner rather than later. After the news broke in January about his pancreatic cancer diagnosis, most of the news about Swayze was good – or, better than could be expected – for his prognosis.

Swayze was a popular choice among Ghoulpool.us players, knowing that pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly and incurable cancers we face today. And, after all the good news coming out about him, it seems the bad news is starting to creep in.

PETA, that unholy organization that masks it’s ulterior motives of building incredible wealth for Ingrid Newkirk and covering up it’s own destruction of thousands of animals, is once again telling the rest of the world how to think. God damned bastards that they are.

NORFOLK, Va. (AP)—People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is seeking the suspension of Eight Belles’ jockey after the filly had to be euthanized following her second-place finish in the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.

Gabriel Saez was riding Eight Belles when she broke both front ankles while galloping out a quarter of a mile past the wire. She was euthanized on the track.
