Here it is, the best day of the year for the Ghoulpool.us staff. This is a day we live for, rather than a day we look for death on. Nothing personifies Ghoulpool.us like a spooky Halloween story or picture.
With that, I will write very little today, and instead just present some ghost videos, ghost pictures, and whatever else I can dig up for National Ghoulpool Day (OK, I made that last thing up, but I may start lobbying Congress).
And with that, a collection of vids and pictures. And no, none of these are the bullshit “jump-out-at-the-end-to-scare-you-variety”. I hate those things…. Read more... (218 words, estimated 52 secs reading time)

Alabama prisoner Daniel Siebert has pancreatic cancer, and is apparently in the very late stages of the disease. Siebert was found guilty of murdering two young women and two young children back in 1986, and was sentenced to death. A fifth murder conviction was added later, and Siebert has admitted that he has killed before.
Here’s the rub – Alabama fears he may die from the cancer before it has a chance to execute him. Alabama had planned to execute him yesterday (October 25th), hoping to kill him for his crimes before Death creeped in on his own to take him away. In a statement on Wednesday, Alabama Governor Rob Riley said “I would in essence be commuting his sentence to life in prison and that is not the sentence he was given by a jury. His crimes were monstrous, brutal and ghastly.” Read more... (387 words, estimated 1:33 mins reading time)

This story is a couple of weeks old, but good crazy-dude stories never go out of style.
Jose Luis Calva, an aspiring horror novelist was arrested after police discovered his girlfriend’s torso in his closet, a leg in the refrigerator and bones in a cereal box. Calva said he boiled some of his girlfriend’s flesh but that he hadn’t eaten it yet. I assume he was busy looking for the right wine to go with ass-meat. Nearby they found the draft of a novel titled “Cannibalistic Instincts.” Read more... (243 words, 1 image, estimated 58 secs reading time)

Keeping with the theme of strange deaths this week. I was searching around the internets and came across a blog posting about 9 strange deaths. My favorite?
“A naked man running across New York’s Brooklyn bridge singing “Oh what a beautiful morning!” was run over by a car and killed.”

With the recent death of Superbowl I hero Max McGee. I did a search of other “famous” people dying from a roof fall. Here are my findings.

As I’m sure you can guess, Halloween is the favorite holiday around the Ghoulpool.us offices. Followed closely by St. Patrick’s Day and Flag Day, but I digress. Halloween is a holiday that makes us tingle in our special places, what with all the spooky, gory, scary, and princess costumes we get to see. And the hot little trampy costumes, too, but mostly the disturbing ones.
It is with that spirit that we announce the First Annual Ghoulpool.us Halloween Costume Contest. Best of all, it’s free, Free, FREE! Read more... (329 words, estimated 1:19 mins reading time)

Two of my three favorite future point givers are in the news today, and for exactly the right reasons for players in Ghoulpool to celebrate. And I’m sure Lindsay is out there just dreaming up some plan to keep herself on par with these two wonderful women.
Britney, in the last week:
– Loses custody yet again of her two mini K-Feds after a judge ruled she is still a drunk and a druggie.
– Reaches a settlement “of about $1,000″ and a night skinny dipping with the owner of a car she hit-and-run earlier this year.
– Runs over the foot of a photographer from TMZ.com, most likely because of the blind spot caused by her newly injected lips. Read more... (321 words, 2 images, estimated 1:17 mins reading time)

It’s a question that has been asked for ages. One that millions, and possibly billions over the course of humanity, have pondered… wondering – “What does it feel like?” Do you just feel like you’re falling asleep? Is there a moment of pain when you experience that last heart beat or that last breath slipping away? Do we truly watch our lives flash before our eyes in our last seconds? If we have a soul, can you tell when it leaves your body? Or is it just a split-second moment of *POOF* – lights out? Read more... (1782 words, estimated 7:08 mins reading time)
