HARHarhar..  David made me famous.

Calvert DeForest, known to millions as the goofy midget Larry “Bud” Melman on The Letterman Show died on March 19, 2007 at the age of 85. Sadly, there will be no funeral services as he had no heirs.

Larry was one of my favorite parts of the Letterman show when he was on. His total lack of timing, his seemingly inept interviewing techniques, and his goofy-ass face always made for a good time. Do you think he really had no idea about handing off the microphone way too early? I also remember Larry begging David to let him come home when David made him travel the country looking for stupid things to report on.

Are you sure I'm not Warren Buffett?

Ernest Gallo, the man who with his brother turned the art of drinking cheap wine into something that upper middle class white guys can brag about, drained the last drop of life’s vino on Tuesday March 6, 2007. He was 97 years old, and only 12 days away from his 98th birthday. And who says wine isn’t a preservative?

Using $5,900 they borrowed and a recipe from the Modesto Public Library, Ernest and Julio rented a ramshackle building, and everybody in the family pitched in to make ordinary wine for 50 cents a gallon — half the going price. The Gallos made $30,000 the first year.
